Chanukah with Thanksgiving
Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum shares with the Netiv community the connection of Thanksgiving to Chanukah. Comparisons are made with the true spirit of Chanukah with being thankful for HaShems light and provision and freedom. The American holiday of thanksgiving is designed to give thanks to G-D for freedom of oppression. We also remember Chanukah for Hashems goodness to his people for the boldness of righteous men who stood against ternary. This year will be unlike any other year in which there if a convergence of remembrance in America. This is a unique coincidence should at least cause us to pause and consider the real meaning of Chanukah.
