Steven VanBruaene

Steve is a former elementary school teacher and principal from Mishawaka, Indiana. With a lifelong passion for education, he dedicated his career to fostering strong relationships between parents, students, and schools. His commitment to engaging families in the classroom experience was evident through his leadership efforts, including initiating a chapter of All Pro Dad at Beiger Elementary and collaborating with the Mishawaka Lion’s Club to promote fine arts in local elementary schools.

Steve also maintained a close connection with his alma mater, Bethel University, where he was honored as Alumnus of the Year in 2010. During his time as principal, he placed numerous Bethel students in field experiences, participated in student-teacher interviews, served on the Education Department advisory committee, and contributed to the university’s National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE) accreditation process.

At the age of 72, Steve and his wife, Donna, made the significant decision to relocate to Texas to be closer to their family. Reflecting on their move to Montgomery, Texas, at the age of 73, Steve often wonders if it was divinely orchestrated.

Since retiring, Steve has devoted himself to deepening his understanding of the Scriptures, with a particular focus on becoming Torah-literate. This passion has led him on two trips to Israel, where he assisted in the maintenance of Tel Tamar, Israel’s only true archaeological project. His experiences there have profoundly shaped his understanding of biblical history and prophecy.

Currently, Steve finds great joy in teaching and sharing his newfound insights through his class, Walking Through the Torah. His teachings emphasize the spiritual, historical, eschatological, and scientific perspectives of Scripture, with a particular focus on the rapid approach to the End of Days.

As a husband, father of two, and grandfather of five, Steve considers his family to be one of his greatest blessings. He continues to pursue his passion for learning, teaching, and sharing the profound wisdom preserved for over 3,000 years.
