The Divisions of Saintliness | Part One
In this lesson we begin to discuss the first of three principle elements in the division of Saintliness.
The first element, chassidus in the manner of carrying out deeds, can itself be divided into two subdivisions: chassidus in deed between man and Hashem and chassidus in deed between man and his fellow.
The chassid – in his pursuit of giving satisfaction to Hashem – will perform certain deeds that the tzaddik will not, because although these deeds are commendable they are not halachically required.
